Toronto 1-11 May

I had a wonderful time in Toronto.. I can't say I enjoyed the flgts though-with 2 transits, one in Tokyo, Japan, and the other in Detroit, USA. It took me about 24hours to get there from Singapore...it took me about 1.5 hours to get through customs and immigration but it was very nice to see the warm and friendly faces of my parents and the Lums when I finally got out of the airport! :)

We went to Niagara Falls the next day and it was very nice weather that day. Tulips and daffodils everywhere... such a beautiful sight!


The next 3 days were spent in a bus tour with my parents & we covered Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City. Crazy huh.. yeah i know but what to do, when u only have a short stay in a country. Made a new friend, Nydia from Mexico (as seen in the photo below) and she reminded me very much of Aidita my amiga from Peru. ;)


Then I was back in Toronto on 6 May for Lua & Cairan's wedding in Ancaster. Here is the link to their wedding photos taken in my camera for those who requested to have the photos ;)

It was a beautiful & moving wedding and also the longest I have ever been to! I had a good time meeting up with the friends from the Baha'i World Centre and those who had left the BWC.

The last few days were spent checking out Toronto downtown. This one was taken at the main road near the Lums home where the gorgeous crabapple trees are in full bloom.


Guess who I met up with as well?! With dear Elena(Brazilian friend I volunteered with in the BWC) who now lives in Toronto as well. We met up for coffee at Starbucks at Yonge and Bloor area. It feels so nice to meet up with old friends wherever you go... :)


This was taken at the Red Lobster Restaurant on the last night of our stay with the Lum family where we celebrated Mothers' Day for the 2 moms and to congratulate Ken Onn for his award in an architectural project.Our family is forever grateful to their loving and warm hospitality during our stay at their home.
